WHAT ARE ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTABLES?
Anti-wrinkle injectables are a highly popular treatment that work by relaxing the muscles in the treatment area. Once administered, the muscles cannot contract and as a result the rate at which new lines or wrinkles occur is reduced.
Minimally invasive, there is little down time and early improvement can be seen within 7 days with full results within 2 weeks.
Anti-wrinkle injections are temporary and are administered in a single treatment. They typically last four months to one year.
At Nu-Lux I use only the highest quality products and recommend the Bocouture® brand.
Areas suitable for treatment: Forehead, Under eyes and Crow’s feet.
During your treatment, I ensure the needle is expertly placed to promote a good degree of lifting to reduce the depth and appearance of any wrinkles particularly at the top of the nose.
Several areas of the forehead are injected to help to achieve a smoother and more natural result.
The surrounding muscles are not affected, and clients can still show a good degree of expression.
Clients achieve excellent results as the injected muscle relaxes and lines appear smoother and less obvious.
Subsequent treatments are required more regularly than dermal fillers
Avoid alcohol and caffeine 48 hours both pre and post treatment
Avoid hot environments such as sauna, sun beds, hot baths, heavy exercise etc.

Why do I need a pre-treatment consultation?
If you are new to anti-wrinkle injections it is important that you fully understand the process plus any possible post treatment side effects which could include swelling, redness, headaches or mild itching etc.
Is it safe to use the Botulinum Toxin?
This is a common question. The amount of toxin is so small that it has been approved as safe to use in such quantities.
Will I need more than one treatment?
If you have very deep wrinkles, or prefer a higher degree of smoothness, it is possible to have additional treatments once the site has healed. This can be discussed during your consultation and would be carried out gradually to ensure a safe outcome.
Do the injections hurt?
Some people feel a little pain but it is more of a stinging sensation and ceases soon after the needle is removed.
